A series from The De-industrialization of America.

The first illustration is titled: The seduction of America, illustrating how America (the character) got interested in, and tempted by the Industrialization. She is eventually trapped in an endless circle of massive production without knowing the repercussions.

The second is the piece that was presented before: The De-industrialization of America, that shows how America and Industry (the male character) realize their mistake, and how our society has reproduced massively not only products, but even culture and minds, these represented by multiple bunnies.

The third is: The De-industrialization of the Product, which presents Product, a representation of our mind and culture, trying to get rid of those elements, part of its body, that have been imposed by Industrialization. This process of liberation requires that Product explores its interior before re-define itself..

This is the illustration made for the cover of UA Presents, as part of an assignment in class. The proposal was selected as finalist in the process. The proposal tries to represent the different spectrum of shows and presentations in their program. Different audiences, countries, shows, types of music, fields of art, instruments, presenters, actors, actresses, dancers, clowns, sounds, lights, colors...come together to create an unfinished coat of arms for UA Presents.
The musical notes on the ribbon at the bottom of the coat represent (or at least they try to represent) the beginning of The Symphony No. 9 form Beethoven.

Traveling might be a shock. This is yet stronger when you had a different idea of what you found. Other times the shock is cultural, of language, costumes, personalities, even the weather can be shocking. Although the shock might be strong, there is always something that can put us together, it is us tu us to find that something.

ATRIP_ TO THE ZOO_WITH BRASALINA

This is the illustration assignment for a short story named Brasalina, by Poe Ballantine.
For the illustration I chose the part of the story in which the main character's new grandmother helps him roast a rhino at the zoo. This is what happened, at least in his mid.

A self-portrait from when I was young and thin. I have the same eyes although.
A rapid technique that at the end wasn't so rapid but effective. I love techniques which bring something special to the visual. Don't go thinking I'm a narcissistic, these were exercises in college. I was taught that the better you know yourself the better you can know new things!

An australian numbat in watercolor and some parts in colored pencils.
According to Wikipedia (I love wiki by the way):

Numbat, the species Myrmecobius fasciatus, is a marsupial found in Western Australia. Its diet consists almost exclusively of termites. Once widespread across southern Australia, the range is now restricted to several small colonies and it is listed as an endangered species. The Numbat is an emblem of Western Australia and protected by conservation programs.

This is a proposal for a company that creates events and catering. The concept rounds about the fact that the company can get anything for your party or event using magic. The graphics are basically typographic, illustrating some words. The illustrations were handmade in pencil and colored in Photoshop.

El Tubo is a neighborhood located in Zaragoza, Spain, that was declared a national monument. In spite of that, part of it was demolished. With incredible photos by Miguel Lizana and touching texts by Antonio Tausiet, this book is a compilation of images to honor this lost old neighborhood. This project was an assignment by Celma&Durán Comunicación Visual in Barcelona, Sapin.

These are the graphics for an architectural project for the restoration of some important buildings in Santa Ana, the second largest city in El Salvador. This project for a group of architects is divided in three parts. The first part is a research about furniture and damages, the second one is a field report of the state of the buildings, and the last one is a final presentation for the whole project.

Pur-O, Meet-O, Brocol-O and Jell-O are a group of friends created to cheer up children who are patients in a hospital overcome their treatments. These characters were part of a group of special food containers for their daily meals.

This proposal won the contest in the area of Packaging Design.

Because every person in the organization has to travel all around the country to do their job, the report was conceived as a pair of posters simulating a fold-out map.
